Active Minds at YU has a very talented and dedicated board.  It is comprised of an Executive Board, Advisory Board and a Volunteer Board.

Executive Board:

Chaim “Robert” Stobezki, President (stobezki@yu.edu): Chaim was born in Manhattan, New York and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Before he began high school, his family moved to Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Chaim is now a senior in Yeshiva College, pursuing his B.A. in biology. He is currently a Resident Advisor and Co-President of the Biology Majors Board. In addition, he is currently a member of Sigma Delta Rho, and the Student Medical Ethics Society. He is also a Yeshiva College tutor in Biology. His summers were spent developing an appreciation for scientific research. Upon graduating from the Yeshiva College and the Honors Program, he aspires to pursue a career in research.

Arye Leib Fohrman, Treasurer (alfohrman@gmail.com): Arye was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. After spending a year in college and working in his hometown, he decided to move to Manhattan, New York to further his studies and career prospects. Arye is currently in his second year in Yeshiva University, majoring in Psychology and a minor in Spanish. He is currently a Board member of STAND (Students Taking Action Now Darfur), as well as new On-Campus disability awareness club- “Possibilities”. He is also a member of Medical Ethics society. He works as a coordinator for Yachad: an organization devoted to the enrichment of the lives of people with developmental disabilities. After graduating from university, he plans to further his studies in the field of clinical psychology or psychiatry.

Asher Morris, Founding President (asher@activemindsyu.com):  Asher was born and raised in Atlanta, GA. After high school, he spent a year studying abroad in Israel, where he also volunteered as an EMT for Magen David Adom. He is in his fourth year on campus at YU, majoring in biology and psychology while pursuing his associate’s degree in Judaic studies from IBC. He is currently a member of Sigma Delta Rho Pre-health Society, the Psychology Club, and the Medical Ethics Society. In addition, Asher is a Writing Center tutor, statistics tutor, a student researcher in the Yeshiva College Department of Psychology, and a Resident Advisor.  His career aspirations include becoming an ER physician and the medical director of an emergency medical service. In addition, he plans to conduct the majority of his research on the interplay between mental health and physical health.
